Clinical studies indicate that immune responses mediated by Th17 cells, a subset of helper T cells, contribute to the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders. While structural abnormalities in the central nervous system are observed in these diseases, the role of Th17 cells and IL-17A remains poorly understood. This paper outlines our recent findings, focusing on the analysis of genetically modified animals exhibiting persistently elevated serum IL-17A levels.
